I had a major oil leak last week and needed a mechanic. I was hoping to have the car back in time for work the next week and picked this location because they were open on Saturdays. Once they took a look at my vehicle, I was given a time line of completion likely done by Tuesday. I gave them the thumbs up and they got to work. I'd note here before moving forward that I spoke to Chad a few times before giving the green light. He came off as flustered each time and claimed at least twice that they were short staffed. On Tuesday I called and was told the end of the day was the target. I called them an hour and half before close to check in, because I hadn't heard anything and I needed to plan a Lyft to get there in time. It was then that I was told the job had been botched and they had to order a new part and reattempt the repair. The issue took place almost two hours before I called back for confirmation, according to the employee on the phone. Admittedly it is a bit disappointing to have to call and confirm completion just to be told the new target time for completion would be Wednesday night. I understood regardless, despite thinking they could have called me shortly after it happened. This gentleman seemed upset at the situation, but projected at me that "well, we're annoyed even more considering we have to redo a job now." I mean, that's the game. I hadn't really complained but was met with this scapegoat statement dripped in a touch of attitude. You think it sucks to redo a job that y'all messed up? I was without my vehicle for another day, costing me money on trips to work, because of the situation and wasn't complaining so I think the comments of that type could have been left in the trash where they belong. I also have looked up the job and feel they overcharge a tad compared to what I am seeing online. Perhaps it's the area, though. The older man that I met when picking up my car was nice enough, at least. I paid $1,687 for the job. It might be of interest, but I did overhear the guy at the end telling a customer over the phone that they aren't taking customer supplied parts for his repair and it sounded like he had been left hanging a bit on his situation. In short, if you need something done on a Saturday and they say they can fit you in, it MIGHT be worth your time. Otherwise, I'd say you should consider your options.
